I have a question for you

I get people signing up for my news letter that have brand new sites. Nothing there just a holder like this one

Hi Steve,

I wouldn't worry too much about those type of emails signing up to your list - Although, I am sure you find it an inconvience. Regarding being able to harvest email addresses or using your mail server, NO - this is not possible if you have the program setup correctly. Did you name the address list something unique(a mixture of numbers and letters) and place it in a directory inaccessible from a browser window?

Best Regards,
Mike

Hi Steve,

On most servers, a simple way to make directories inaccessible from people wishing to view their contents is to chmod the directory where your subscribers file is stored to "711" Hope this helps.

Best Regards,
Mike
